HYDERABAD: Against the backdrop of influential BC leaders like Danam Nagender joining the TRS, the ruling party seems to have decided to send a clear message to some of its leaders who are creating trouble for the party leadership, by putting Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas on notice. As Assembly elections are around the corner, the pink party leadership started sending clear signals to its warring leaders that any sort of indiscipline in the party will no longer be tolerated.

Proving this, the party has begun setting right the affairs in Nizamabad Rural Assembly constituency represented by Bajireddy Govardhan, where he is facing serious trouble from several leaders encouraged by D Srinivas. Groups led by Nizamabad Rural MLA Bajireddy Govardhan and MLC R Bhupathi Reddy have been crossing swords with each other in the constituency affecting the electoral fortunes of the pink party. While the MLA is working as per the directives of Kavitha, the MLC is being encouraged by Srinivas.

Bajireddy reportedly told Kavitha repeatedly that if the party was unable to take action against Srinivas and Bhupathi, he would have to quit the party.  Bajireddy had joined the TRS only before the 2014 elections, while Bhupathi has been working for the party right from its inception. The CM also warned the MLC to change his attitude.

Both, however, continued to fight and also filed cases against each other. Hence, elected representatives of the district held a meeting and urged the party high command to take disciplinary action against the MLC, but no action was taken. Recently, the MLA’s supporter E Gopi, who attacked a BC woman, was arrested by the police. The MLC consoled the woman. On the same day, he also attended a programme which was organised by Srinivas. After that, MLA Govardhan, once again raised the issue, and the TRS leadership has now put Srinivas on notice.

Aravind slams Kavitha
DS’ younger son and BJP state committee member Aravind sharpened his attack on TRS MP K Kavitha on Thursday.“The people of Nizamabad district will teach a fitting lesson to Nizamabad MP Kavitha in the ensuing general polls as she did nothing for the development of Nizamabad,” he said.
