Hyderabad airport is ‘most punctual’
HYDERABAD: GMR Hyderabad International Airport has achieved a remarkable global feat of being the most punctual airport in the world. According to a recent report by aviation analytical firm, Cirium, GMR Hyderabad International Airport recorded an impressive on-time performance (OTP) of 90.43% in the month of March.
High OTP places Hyderabad airport in a league of its own, as it is the only airport in the world to surpass the 90% mark. Cirium conducted a comprehensive review of over 5 million flights globally during the month of March and ranked Hyderabad airport at the top in both the ‘Global Airports’ and ‘Large Airports’ categories.
Notably, in November 2022, Hyderabad airport was ranked 4th in the ‘Large Airports’ category with an OTP of 88.44%. The selection criteria for this ranking were based on the actual gate departure service, which must have a coverage of 80% or better.
