Another proud year for HPS as 84 per cent of students get distinction in ISC exams

HYDERABAD: As the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CICSE) announced the results of Class 10 and 12, the Hyderabad Public School (HPS) in Begumpet has yet another reason to be proud during its centennial year, with the school achieving a 100% pass percentage this year.

The CISCE conducts the ICSE exam for Class 10 students, while the ISC examination is for Class 12 students. At HPS, 84% of the students scored a distinction, with 30% of them scoring above 90% in the ISC exam. The girls at HPS have outperformed the boys, with Rajitha Valluri of the Commerce stream securing the top spot in the school with a score of 483 out of 500, which is 96.6%.

Vallu Lakshmi Sanjana Pandrangi of the Humanities stream secured the second position with a score of 95.4%, followed by Sreenidhi Karamalaputi from the Commerce stream with 95%. In the Science stream, Maithili Nanda topped with a score of 94%.

The top scorer in the ICSE exam from the school is Saarthak Lamba, who scored a staggering 99%, including a centum in HCG (History Civics and Geography), Mathematics and Computer Applications. He is closely followed by Aadya Kollipara with a score of 98.8%.

City schools perform well

Other schools in the city have also performed well in the examinations. Johnson Grammar School had 730 students appear for ICSE and 82 for ISC, with 271 and 23 respectively scoring above 90%. Naga Manasvini Siva from Johnson Grammar School is the school topper with a score of 99.20%. B. Avanith from St. Joseph’s Public School also secured the same percentage.

Nasr Boys School, Gachibowli, had an impressive performance in the ICSE and ISC examinations. In the Class 10 examination, Hamza Nisar Basha topped with 99.6%, followed by Mirza Ayaan Baig securing 98.4%, and Abhinav Varma Gottumukkala with 97.2%. In the Class 12 board examination, Urwah Mohammed Farooq topped with 87.75%, followed by Ibad Ur Rahman securing 86.5%.
