HYDERABAD: A delegation from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) visited the Department of Business Management, Osmania University, on Wednesday to discuss avenues for strengthening industry-academia collaboration and enhancing student engagement with real-world business practices.
The interaction was held with faculty members and MBA students, focusing on creating mutually beneficial opportunities such as live projects, internships, and industry-oriented training modules. The HPCL representatives emphasised the importance of bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations, highlighting the need for practical exposure in management education.
During the discussion, the HPCL team proposed offering project opportunities to MBA students in key functional areas such as human resources, marketing, finance and supply chain management. These projects are expected to provide hands-on experience and enable students to work on real-time business challenges under industry mentorship.
