HYDERABAD: Hundred more electric buses would soon be introduced in Warangal under the PM eBus Sewa scheme to further strengthen the city’s public transport network, TGSRTC vice chairman and managing director Y Nagi Reddy announced on Tuesday.

The Warangal region is already operating 112 electric buses successfully, he added. Nagi Reddy was speaking after conducting surprise inspections at the main bus stations in Warangal and Hanamkonda to review passenger amenities, depot operations and infrastructure.

He inspected the bus stations, checking availability of drinking water, maintenance of waiting halls, safety measures for women passengers and punctuality of bus services. He directed officials to ensure high standards in passenger amenities and improve overall service quality.

Later, Nagi Reddy held a review meeting with the Regional Manager, depot managers, drivers and conductors to assess bus routes, occupancy levels and employee-related issues. Warning against negligence in passenger service, he urged all employees to discharge their duties with responsibility and commitment.
