The Telangana High Court has sought responses from the state government and the newly constituted Board of Trustees of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam, Yadagirigutta, in a writ petition challenging amendments to the Telangana Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987.
A bench of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice GM Mohiuddin is hearing the petition, filed by Nagilla Srinivas and another founding member of the temple.
