JAGTIAL: The state government has selected 70 villages in each district to carry out land re-survey in the first phase of the statewide exercise, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said on Friday.
The survey, covering both agricultural and abadi properties, is aimed at resolving long-pending land disputes and creating accurate land records. The government plans to complete the exercise across the state within one-and-a-half years.
Ponguleti, along with Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar and district officials, interacted with beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme in Jagtial. He directed officials to ensure bus services and other basic amenities at the Indiramma housing colony.
The minister said the previous government had neglected the provision of basic infrastructure at the Nookalapalli 2BHK housing colony. “The Congress government has taken up the first phase works at a cost of `32 crore to provide drinking water, drainage, electricity and other essential facilities. Funds would soon be released for the second phase of works,” he added.
