Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli has been roped in for a pivotal role in Sarathkumar’s Rendaavadhu Aattam. Directed by Prithivi Adithya, who was an executive producer for 8 Thottakkal, the film is about a series of events that take place in a cinema hall during a night show.

The actress calls it “an exciting opportunity.” When talking to CE about the film, she says, “Rendaavadhu Aattam is a crime thriller in which Sarathkumar plays the cop.

My character is his second-in-command who helps him throughout the case. I’m playing a cop for the first time.” Calling it an out-and-out thriller, she clarifies that there won’t be any romance angle. “It’s a super-exciting script and I was very impressed with it. I liked Prithvi’s approach a lot. The film’s shoot will start from next month. Pre-production work is happening right now and the crew is busy with research on the look and feel of the film,” she says.

When asked about the other members of the cast, Lakshmi laughs. “I can’t tell you. The rest of the cast will be announced one by one. As far as the technicians are concerned, KS Sundaramurthy, who composed music for 8 Thottakkal, is the music director. Big Print Pictures, who produced that film, will be bankrolling this project as well.”
