SIDDIPET : The body of Kukunooprally sub-inspector P Prabhakar Reddy was moved to the Siddipet Government Hospital on Wednesday night despite stiff resistance from the public. The autopsy was conducted on Thursday morning by special medical team in the presence of Gajwel RDO Vijayender Reddy. Police had faced severe criticism in the suicide of the SI and officials had taken full precautions regarding the autopsy, which was video recorded.
The body was later shifted to his native village in special ambulance. The department is trying its best to find out the cause of suicide. It is learnt that Sangareddy DSP Tirupathianna had collected needed information from the suicide spot and also inquired the staff working at the police station.
Meanwhile, a new topic, that the SI had not committed suicide and it is the work of professional killers, is trending on the social media. The argument doing the rounds is that when someone shoots themself while sitting, they would ideally fall down. But this did not happen in the present case.
Police commissioner Shivakumar said Siddipet police has seized the service revolver of the SI. It is learnt that police officials may disclose the details relating to suicide of the SI to media on Friday.
Kin, friends stage dharna carrying Prabhakar’s body
Yadadri Bhuvanagiri: Friends of deceased Sub-Inspector Prabhakar Reddy staged a dharna at the Tanguturu-Alair road on Thursday with his body demanding release of their friends who were detained near Kukunoorpally police station. However, Bhuvanagiri Rachakonda DCP Yadagiri rushed to the spot and told the protesters that the detainees have been already released. After this, the protesters withdrew the dharna and shifted the body for funeral.
It may be recalled that following SI Prabhakar Reddy’s alleged suicide on Wednesday, following which some persons attacked a media van. The police had made some arrests at Kukunoorpally in this connection. Meanwhile, when the last rites were to be performed, kin of the SI demanded the cops to perform the funeral with police honour. However, the Rachakonda DCP said it was not a case which came under police honor.
It’s a murder, not suicide, says Sirisha’s husband
Eluru: The last rites of beautician A Vijayalakshmi alias Sirisha, who died under suspicious circumstances in Hyderabad, were performed at Mattapartivaripalem in Achanta mandal on Thursday. Her husband Satish Chandra performed the last rites. She was found dead in a photography institute at Film Nagar in Hyderabad, which was linked to suicide of Kukunoorpally SI P Prabhakar Reddy. Sirisha was married to Satish Chandra one-and-half decades ago.
Later, the couple shifted to Hyderabad. She along with her husband attended a marriage at the house of their relatives at Valluru recently. Speaking to mediapersons, Satish alleged that his wife was murdered. He demanded a thorough inquiry into the suspicious death. Sirisha’s mother Ramalakshmi said injuries were found on the body of her daughter. She urged the Telangana State government to conduct a thorough probe into the death of her daughter.
