On the eve of Autism Day, Tamana, a charitable, non-profit voluntary organisation, hosted its annual Autism Day celebration with ‘Walking Tall—Walking for Hope—Walking for Tamana’ at the Hyatt Regency hotel.

The fashion fraternity has been supporting Tamana for years now and like every year, this year too the evening had a fashion show where differently-abled children walked the ramp with panache. The evening also had music and dance performances and was graced by Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shashi Tharoor.

Designers Payal Jain, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Abraham and Thakore, Anuradha Raman, Aneeth Arora of Pero, Gautam Gupta and Fabindia presented their capsule collections.

Shalu Jindal, Tamana Chona and Sunil Sethi walked the ramp with the students of Tamana. Speaking on the occasion, President of Tamana, Shayama Chona, said, “This annual feature is a reminder that everyone has a right to look good and walk tall. Irrespective of their condition, children with disabilities should not be left behind, but given an equal opportunity to integrate into the society.”
