Launched recently, this smorgasbord of freshly conceived indulgences like Teekha Paya, English Rainbow Slaw, Artisan Cottage Cheese Salad, Hinglish Leg te Peg, Singaporean Curry Puffs in Chicken Curry, Lamb Rendang and Vegetable Curry options, Masala Keema Scotch Eggs, Thai Curry–Singaporean Colonial Style, cheese fondue, chocolate fondue and others will whet your appetite on this occasion for experimentation. “We often do new renderings. It’s our way of showing that we are versatile, well-stalked with ideas and enthusiastic enough to re-think and re-create,” says Executive Chef Sachin Verma.
There are some dishes that stand out and could easily be your choice of order if you decide to visit the place. The Cromesquis (a crispy breaded dish with a filling of chicken or vegetables) could be ideal for starters. Additionally, you could try the Dahi ke Kebab (the best item in the vegetarian selection), Dublin Bay Chilli Prawns (the best in the non-vegetarian section), Sharabi Barrah and Chaamp (meat cuts marinated in rum overnight and cooked in tandoor), Teekha Mahi Tikka (spicy fish kebabs from the tandoor) and Meat Pulao with Lahsun and Til ke Chutney. “Our first priority is the taste. Everything else, including the presentation and service, comes second. In this part of the city—West Delhi—a theme cafe like ours had to find a balance in terms of flavours because most people here understand and love North Indian or North Indianised food and I think we’ve found it perfectly,’’ says Verma.
The good thing about the space is that it invites all kinds of people looking for various kinds of dining experiences. There are books and magazines to read, board games like snakes and ladder, chess and scrabble to play.
