Puja Bahri decided to document her thoughts in the form of an exhibition titled, Blow Horn, that is on display at the Chawla Art Gallery, Square One Mall, Saket, till September 30.

Puja Bahri didn’t even once feel awkward being dressed like a man and getting on a truck  with a beedi in her hand, pretending to be someone she absolutely wasn’t.  She spent the day with the truck driver and made mental notes of what life was through a different perspective. In that moment, she decided to document her thoughts in the form of an exhibition titled, Blow Horn, that is on display at the Chawla Art Gallery, Square One Mall, Saket, till September 30, from 11 am to 7 pm.

“I have explored the limits of the ‘conventional’ and compiled the kaleidoscope of Indian streets and highways. My art-works presents a rich tapestry of images and ideas inspired by my encounters during exploratory photographic voyages, says Bahri, adding, “The reality of masses and their struggles, at busy intersections on city streets or at bus stops, waiting endlessly, or at work, carrying loads, trying to find their way around by skirting the over-bearing traffic lights have been captured through my lens.”

“You will see that my work is modelled through photographic intervention and installed with a built-in video manipulation system of recordings street sounds and voices over a period of time. It explores the fascinating and intriguing conundrum that seems to confront our fast-paced world today. I am sure, many city dwellers will relate to my work,” she says with a smile.
