The rehearsals themselves looked no less then the final performance. Straight lines, flawless forms and electrifying energy summed up what we saw of Zest 2014’s practice sessions. Kanhai’s Institute of Performing Arts, commonly known as KIPA Dance Academy, is presenting a dance show, displaying the works of its students that they learnt in the institute’s summer workshop of hip hop, jazz and funk. The audience will get to see their skills and techniques, acquired through days of dedicated practice.
Through these choreographed routines, the students aim to put up a show of nothing less than professional standards. For some, it will be their first public performance.
The highlight of the evening will be a special girls’ only
performance.
