

Drowning themselves in the ocean of devotion are artistes Hans Raj Hans, Shubha Mudgal, Aslam Sabri, Parvathi Baul and many others, during the three-day Bhakti Sangeet 2014 festival being organised by Sahitya Kala Parishad at Nehru Park, Chankyapuri.
Being presented by the Department of Art, Culture and Languages, Delhi Government, it is aimed at promoting traditional art forms in the city.
The programme starts with Sri K Vasudevan Nambhoothiri, A M Kesavan, K Madhavan Nambhoothiri (Rigveda Chanting), Parvathi Baul (Baul singing of Bengal), Rajnish Ritesh Mishra (Sagun Bhakti) and Hans Raj Hans (Punjabi Sufi), on May 9. That will be followed by some Buddhist chanting, O S Arun (Krishna Bhakti), Mohammad Irshad (Kalaam Bulle Shah) and Shubha Mudgal (Nirgun Bhakti) on May 10. On May 11, Prahlad Singh Tipania (Kabir Bhakti in Malwi folk tradition), Agnihotri Bandhu (Ram and Hanuman Bhakti), Sanjeev Abhayankar (Shagun and Abhag Bhakti) and Aslam Sabri (Sufiana Qawwali), will keep you entertained.
