The time is ripe to introduce new exhibitions according to Pratibha Agarwal, co-promoter of Artlife Gallery that’s rolled out a new showcase of works titled, Autumn Abstract by various artists. This comes as a special offering from the gallery for the festive season, and Agarwal affirms that the market right now is full of both, enthusiastic buyers and eager sellers. This is one of the best times to buy art, according to her.
The show that’s on till September 7 was inaugurated by Padma Vibhushan awardee, scientist and educationist, Professor Yash Pal and sees eight artists come together to express their notions on whatever they feel they connect most with. “We at the gallery never give artists any themes. It’s a restrictive practice that doesn’t let them articulate their concepts with conviction. With Independence Day just having gone by, this is the kind of creativity I wish upon every artist. Therefore, we’ve always left them to create whatever they want,” she says.
Playing with mostly oil and acrylic, artists Sanjay Dhawan, Vernika Singh, Kaushik Rishi Sharma, Daisy Mittal, Harish Kumar, Nirmala Singh, Chitra Singh and Shilbhadra Maity are participating in the same.
