On September 23, 2010, the grandiose facade of Nautanki Mahal at Kingdom of Dreams (KoD), the country’s first live entertainment destination, filled up with happy faces as the curtains raised to a first-of-its-kind concept—a Bollywood musical called Zangoora: The Gypsy Prince. Today, it has completed 1,500 shows and the jubilation is reverberating all through the cheery corridors of KoD.

Written by poet, lyricist and scriptwriter Javed Akhtar, Zangoora made everybody sway to the music of Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. The narrative itself never seized to fade from the minds of its viewers, despite the introduction of many other kinds of productions introduced  to the stage over the years. The fantasy tale of a prince, who is raised by gypsies after his parents are killed by traitors and  therefore is oblivious of his real identity, makes his journey to find his roots, seamlessly struck a cord with everybody sitting at the edge of their seats, hoping for a happy ending.

Celebrating 1,500 of those happy endings, Zangoora continues to take you along on this endless journey of dance and drama.
