For me, Delhi is synonymous with my identity. Right from my childhood to where I stand today, I feel lucky to be a part of the major transit the city has gone through. Born and brought up in Delhi, though I was away for some time to complete my higher education in the USA, I never missed upon anything the city had to offer.

Its richness, magnificence, art and culture, and most importantly the heritage this place beholds, inspired me to lay the foundation of Mirari Jewels. It is a complete representation of all these attributes encapsulated in the jewellery. The love and acceptance I have gained from my people and patrons has helped it grow into empire of the decade. Delhi is famous as ‘Dilwalon ki Dilli’ (Delhi belongs to people with hearts) because people here are friendly and always ready to go an extra mile to help each other through odds. It is due to the beautiful hearts and kindness that the city has been doing exceptionally well. But that’s not all. On the technology and development front too, the city is no less. It has the best possible network in the form of Metro Rail, best offices and shopping markets.

The luxury lifestyle has also made a strong foothold in the market. Nonetheless, this has raised the bar of expectation of the connoisseurs giving a rise in competition in the industry. Making a niche in any genre is always a challenge; however one cannot break the ice if everything comes easily. Building and setting up a business was a major groundwork I had to go through. Taking cue and following the footsteps of my father, who introduced me to discipline at work, maintained the pace. Though it was not a cakewalk, passion for what I do, focused mind and meeting the right people at right time completed the jig-saw puzzle of my career. When I sit and contemplate to see where I had started, I remind myself that how everything started from baby steps when I had introduced the first store.

It’s very interesting that the map represents it as a tiny city but the noteworthy point is that Delhi is a hub of major luxury markets in India. From Louis Vuitton to Versace, one doesn’t have to travel abroad to buy the limited editions. Customers have started understanding and appreciating the custom-made and like to stand out of the crowd. For jewellery designers like us, it is quintessential to create a world-class experience, but at the same time not forget the grassroots of our origin. No doubt, Delhi remarkably encourages all by sprouting inspiration to not get disillusioned and maintain the balance.
I owe a lot to this city some way or the other and never think twice when I have to give something in return.
