NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s iconic blue Maruti WagonR, which was stolen from outside the Secretariat on October 12, was found abandoned in Ghaziabad on Saturday. Made famous by a scarfed Kejriwal who rode in it while he was chief minister for 49 days in January 2014, the vehicle was found with a sword in its boot.

After the recovery of the car, Delhi Police were quick to blame the car’s driver and owner for parking it wrongly and not intsalling security equipment in it, making it prone to theft.

“We got information around 8 am from Ghaziabad police control room that a blue WagonR car has been recovered by police. It was the same car which was stolen from Delhi Secretariat on October 12,” Delhi Police PRO Madhur Verma said.
