Delhi logs lower temperature than Himalayan hill stations

Delhi shivered from severe cold as it recorded a minimum temperature of 5.6 degrees Celsius on Dec 27. In comparison, the minimum temperature in typically cold places such as Dehradun, Dharamsala and Nainital logged temperatures above 6 degree celsius. Visibility fell to just 50 meters, affecting road traffic and train movement.
