Kerala reports third monkeypox case as another UAE-returnee tests positive

A 35-year-old man, who came to Kerala from the UAE earlier this month, has tested positive for #monkeypox, making him the third case of the #virus from the country as well as the state. Health Minister Veena George said the Malappuram native arrived in the southern state on July 6 and had a fever since July 13. The patient's samples were collected and sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune for testing. In a statement, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that there is no cause for concern at present.
