Anti-Bangladesh protests erupt near Deputy High Commission in Kolkata; 12 arrested

Protests over the killing of a Hindu youth in Bangladesh escalated in Kolkata on Tuesday as hundreds of pro-Hindutva supporters marched towards the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission.

Clashes broke out after police blocked the march with barricades, forcing a lathi charge to disperse the crowd. At least 12 protesters were arrested and several people, including police personnel, sustained minor injuries. Police said the situation is now under control.
