‘If BJP strikes me in Bengal, I’ll shake its foundation nationwide’: Mamata Banerjee | Bongaon rally

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday accused the BJP of influencing the Election Commission and cautioned officials against removing genuine voters during the upcoming SIR verification.

She claimed the BJP is using the SIR drive to create fear among the public and urged citizens not to be intimidated, assuring that the Trinamool Congress will protect their rights.

Mamata also criticised the ECI, alleging that voters in Matua-majority regions could face immediate delisting if they identify themselves as foreigners under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
