Children treated for thalassemia test positive for HIV after transfusion in Jharkhand

Five children contracted HIV from transfused infected blood at Sadar Hospital in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has ordered the suspension of the Civil Surgeon and other officials found responsible for the lapse.
