Mob smashes Ashok emblem at Hazratbal shrine in J&K; CM Omar Abdullah defends it

A mob smashed the Ashok emblem on the foundation of the revered Hazratbal shrine after the Friday prayers. Reportedly, the cause of the attack was the assumption that the emblem represented idol worship, which is prohibited in Islam Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah questioned why the emblem was placed at the shrine, in the first place
