US, Israel agree to 2-week ceasefire with Iran amid escalation

The US and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire on April 7 after US President Donald Trump walked back on his threats to destroy 'all of Iran'. He de-escalated just two hours before his deadline of 8 PM ET. Iran proposed a 10-point peace plan to end the hostilities. The two nations will negotiate further in Islamabad on Friday. Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif said the ceasefire applies to Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
