GUNTUR: The 103 complaint cell set up by the Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) seems to be more popular among citizens rather than PuraSeva, a smart city mobile application developed by eGovernments Foundation for the Department of Municipal Administration as more people are approaching it for redressal of their grievances.
Hence, the GMC has decided to promote PuraSeva app in a big way, which enables citizens to access various services from their smartphones.
It also provides a platform where a user can report issues from their smartphone. He can take a picture of the problem being faced by locals and briefly explain about it.
The application automatically captures the exact location of the issue and routes it to the municipal official concerned for early solution.
The user can track the status of the application from his smartphone as well. One can also know the property tax and water tariff due for his assessment using it. The app which can be downloaded from Google play store, enables users to avail themselves of 91 municipal services.
Explaining the salient features of PuraSeva, GMC Commissioner Challa Anuradha urged people to download the mobile app to get their grievances redressed within a timeframe without visiting the GMC office. The mobile application will also help promote transparency in municipal administration, the GMC Commissioner said.
