WASHINGTON: Days before the second anniversary of the Mumbai terror attacks, relatives of two New York victims -- Rabbi Gavriel Noah Holtzberg and his pregnant wife Rivka-- have filed a suit in a Brooklyn court against Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Accusing the “shadowy” ISI of complicity, the wrongful death lawsuit alleges that the intelligence outfit ISI aided the LeT with “critical planning, material support, control and coordination for the attacks”.
The Lashkar terrorists gunned down the couple at Chabad-Lubavitch Jewish Center in front of their two-year-old son Moshe, who was rescued by his Indian nanny Sandra Samuel. There were six Americans among the 166 dead in the attacks.
