NEW DELHI: Stressing that terrorism and radicalism were a common challenge for India and Israel, visiting Israeli President Reuven Rivlin on Thursday reaffirmed his country's support to India in its fight against the global menace.

"I am here to affirm our support to (India to) fight against global terrorism," Rivlin said while speaking on "India-Israel - 25 years of partnership and the way forward" here.

The Israeli President said that he was "impressed" by India's economic growth and his country was ready to cooperate with it in different areas, be it defence, agriculture, education and technology.

"I have come to reaffirm commitment to our shared future in different areas like technology and education.

"We already cooperated in areas of economy, technology security and this cooperation continues to grow," he said, also noting how both countries shared a long history of cooperation from ancient times.
