Two Indian pilgrims killed, 9 injured in Nepal accident

Two Indians have been killed and nine others injured when a tractor trailer carrying pilgrims overturned in Nepal's Terai region.

KATHMANDU: Two Indians have been killed and nine others injured when a tractor trailer carrying pilgrims overturned in Nepal's Terai region.

The tractor was ferrying 25 pilgrims to the Dudheshwar Mahadev Temple in Parsa district when it turned turtle, killing two persons and injuring nine others around midnight last night, police said today.

The deceased have been identified as Mahendra Paswan (50) and Puja Kumari (9), who hailed from Raxaul of West Champaran district in Bihar, the Himalayan Times reported.

The injured are yet to be identified.

Of the nine injured, one is said to be in critical condition.
