Renault India recalls Kwids with faulty fuel system

Company said it will add a fuel hose clip to the recalled cars and also evaluate the overall functioning of the fuel systems

CHENNAI: The Indian subsidiary of French automobile major Renault said on Wednesday that it is recalling several units of its 800cc model Kwid manufactured till May 18 to rectify a faulty fuel system.

The company said it will add a fuel hose clip to the recalled cars and also evaluate the overall functioning of the fuel systems so that the fuel supply is continuous.

While Renault India is silent on the number of Kwid cars it is recalling, reports say it could be 50,000 units.
