Van Heusen to Rake in Rs 100 cr via MYFIT

CHENNAI: Aditya Birla Group-owned clothing brand Van Heusen is set to rake in `100 crore in additional revenue over the next three years through its recently launched business model, MYFIT. The brand is also planning a major expansion in its line of retail stores, with special in emphasis on women’s wear and  accessories.

According to Vinay Bhopatkar, Chief Operating Officer of Van Heusen, the brand is expecting MYFIT, an online and offline design customising option launched about six months ago. MYFIT, will allow customers to make alterations to the body type, sleeve length etc to their clothes before ordering them.

“In three months, which was when it went operational fully, MYFIT is contributing nearly 10% of our revenues. In three years, we could see additional revenue to the tune of ` 100 crore from MYFIT alone,” said Bhopatkar.

Van Heusen is also planning to expand its retail outlets by about 15 stores a year for the next few years. A major portion of the expansion will happen in tier 2 and 3 cities. The brand is also focusing on building up its women’s apparel and accessories businesses. Women’s apparel contributes less than 10% to Van Heusen’s total sales right now.
