CHENNAI: TVS TYRES, the brand owned by TVS Srichakra Ltd, is all set to foray into the fast growing radial tyres market soon. The company is also hoping to pass RS 1,900 crore mark in turnover this fiscal.

Speaking to reporters on Friday at the unveiling of the brand’s new logo, P Vijayaraghavan, Director, TVS Srichakra Ltd said that the company will be releasing its radial tyre products soon. The company, which caters primarily to the two and three-wheeler market, is producing around 1.9 million units of tyres per month through its plants at Madurai in Tamil Nadu and Pantnagar in Uttarakhand.

Vijayaraghavan also said that he hoped that the company would grow by 10-12 per cent by the end of this fiscal and go past the Rs 1,900 crore mark in turnover. The company registered Rs 1,700 crore in revenue last year.

The company has revamped its logo and identity of the brand to ensure that it stays attractive to the younger market segments, which have started to become the dominant market in the country.

“Young men motorists play a significant role in the business. This new identity will appeal to them,” said Vijayaraghavan.

The earlier tagline of ‘Ride Smart With Street Sense’ has also been removed.
