Tigerair Snaps Inter-Line Deal With Spicejet

BENGALURU: Singapore-based airline operator Tigerair is reported to have terminated its inter-line agreement for passenger swapping with Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet. The two carriers had come together over a year for a period of three years and starting January 31, 2014. “That (inter-line arrangement) has recently expired as it did not work out the way we had expected,” Teh Yikchuan, Tigerair Director for Sales and Marketing was quoted by agencies. Tigerair said that the numbers were not as expected. SpiceJet, which has been on a roller coaster ride since financial troubles emerged, has also witnessed a change in promoters.
