Are you still throwing the empty cans from last night’s party or keeping it for a local kabadiwala? Did you know that recycling one ‘aluminum can’ saves enough energy to run a television for three hours?
An unique start-up ‘POM POM’, a web-based recycling platform helps you to dispose recyclable waste in a responsible manner at your doorstep, while paying you the best possible price for the same.
Founded by Deepak Sethi and Kishor K Thakur, the company started its operations in South Delhi and is addressing the disposal needs of more than 10 lakh individuals producing large quantities of recyclable waste every day.
After collecting the recyclables, the company adds value by segregating these and supplies them to industries that recycle them to manufacture new products. This, the company believes, is the first step towards making a green environment.
“Individuals can contribute towards their society towards green and clean environment. And it’s all one can do via a quick call, message or putting in a request via the mobile application,” Deepak Sethi said.
Moreover, the company uses electronic weighing scales to provide right value for the recyclables, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and pay you instant cash at your doorstep. The prices are already available for all the recyclables on both the application and website preventing you from any quarrel with your local scrap dealers.
