CHENNAI: Prione Business Services, a joint venture between Amazon and Catamaran Business services has enabled 34,000 small and medium businesses (SMBs) across India to access online marketplaces and adopt digital technologies to sell their products. The company has been enabling over 350 sellers every week to join the e-commerce space.

“We are growing by 350-400 SMBs per week. This milestone is credited to our unique approach of designing services which not only help SMBs get started, but also help them manage and grow their business online,” said Sandeep Varaganti, Sales Leader of Prione.

Since its launch in 2014, the company’s base has grown by 500 per cent and product selection by 400 per cent. It has also been expanding geographically with presence in 45 cities.
Taking advantage of the fast growing digital economy the small businesses are being enabled to move from an unorganized offline world to a new-age organized digital market.
“Most SMBs especially from Tier 2 and 3 cities have the deep desire to sell online and expand their addressable market. And, we aspire to become the trusted partner, Sandeep said.
