NEW DELHI: The state-owned construction firm NBCC India has tied up with Bolix, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Berger Paints India, a Polish company to promote aesthetics in construction industry, with 35 per cent energy efficiency and safe environment.
Bolix plans to set up manufacturing unit to develop external thermal insulation and composite system (ETICS) solutions technology. The firm claims that this technology has helped in reduced energy consumption by 35 per cent and lower carbon emission, both in cold and hot climatic conditions.
“We have signed an MoU with Bolix to use their thermal insulation technology which could save energy cost by 30-35 per cent,” NBCC CMD Anoop Kumar Mittal said.
Bolix is also looking at setting up a facility in India, to make it a made in India product. The firm said the cost of construction will be higher than normal construction, but the high cost would be recovered in less than five years. Mittal is confident that this technology will support the government’s ambitious schemes including Make in India and Housing for all by 2022.
