NEW DELHI: German auto major Volkswagen today reported a 10.5 per cent increase in sales in India at 4,753 units in July.

The company had sold 4,301 units in the same month last year.

"A positive market trend coupled with customers trust in our strong product portfolio enables us to further strengthen our commitment to the Indian market," Volkswagen Passenger Cars India Director Steffen Knapp said in a statement.

The positive growth during last month is attributed to the strong product line-up led by the recently launched Tiguan, he added.
