Maruti rolls out all-new Dzire at Rs 5.45 lakh

Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday launched the latest version of its popular sedan Dzire with prices starting from Rs 5.45 lakh and attractive fuel efficiency.

NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday launched the latest version of its popular sedan Dzire with prices starting from Rs 5.45 lakh and attractive fuel efficiency of 28.4 km per litre for the petrol version and 22 kmpl for diesel.

Revised sedan styling, with more plush and roomy interiors, overall comfort and advanced safety features make the new Dzire a new challenger in the segment.

“The New Dzire is bound to create plenty of excitement in the Indian automobile market…. Now we have designed a whole New Dzire for sedan customers, to fulfil the growing aspirations of a young and prosperous India,” said Kenichi Ayukawa, managing director and chief executive officer, Maruti Suzuki.

The petrol variants with manual power trains are priced between Rs 5.45 lakh and Rs 7.94 lakh while the diesel trims are tagged between Rs 6.45 lakh and Rs 8.94 lakh. The petrol automatic variants are priced between Rs 6.76 lakh and Rs 8.41 lakh, while the diesel trims with automatic transmission are in the range of Rs 7.76 lakh and Rs 9.41 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi), according to Maruti Suzuki.

The new version of Dzire comes with 62 litres of extra boot space and extra leg room of 55 mm compared to the previous models.

Other sedan makers like Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire and Volkswagen Ameo models have priced their models in the range of Rs 4.7 lakh to Rs 8.41 lakh.

With new Dzire, the customer has a plethora of choice to pick on price, quality, performance and brand.
Maruti Suzuki, together with its suppliers, has invested over Rs 1,000 crore for the development of the all-New Dzire.

Launched in 2008, Dzire has been the country’s best-selling sedan through most of the last decade, and has clocked sales of over 1.38 million cars so far.

The model has been contributing to around 50 per cent of vehicle sales in the compact sedan segment.
