Digital is becoming the mainstream in realty sector, as both home buyers and builders are preferring, online platforms and social media to achieve their goals.

HYDERABAD : Digital is becoming the mainstream in realty sector, as both home buyers and builders are preferring, online platforms and social media to achieve their goals.While home buyers are increasingly going online for searching homes, builders and realtors are depending on digital platforms and social media to reach out to potential consumers.“IT employees, NRIs form the majority of home buyers today who are tech savvy and use their smart phones for searching homes. Also most of the home buyers today are being influenced by social media while purchasing a home or property.

As a result builders and realtors are putting utmost focus on digital platforms to reach out to potential consumers,” said C Shekar Reddy, Immediate Past President of CREDAI, explaining the reason behind growing popularity of digital platforms in realty sector.Digital is becoming so popular in realty now that many builders and realtors are spending more on digital channels than traditional marketing and publicity avenues. Besides using property portals and online media, builders are taking utmost care about their social media presence to strike a right chord with potential home buyers.     

“Digital platforms and social media provide builders an opportunity to reach to the target consumers in a more focused way. Also they can track the effectiveness of strategy online. The cost of acquiring customers through online and social media is also lesser when compared to other marketing channels. Therefore digital platforms are gaining popularity in realty sector,” said K Sreedhar Reddy of Telangana Real Estate Developers Association explaining about the rising importance of digital in realty.

According to observation of realty insiders, not just in metros like Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai but even in tier-2 and tier-3 cities also, both home buyers and builders are depending on digital platforms.
