Teams of the Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh police, who are on a manhunt for the ATM attacker, seem to be closing in on the suspect.
A senior police officer expressed confidence that the assailant would be nabbed in two-three days.
Police sources said teams of 400 policemen from both states, including railway police, have been tracking the attacker’s movements but he has been managing to escape just when they are closing in on him.
The police teams are visiting various places with lookout notices and the manhunt is being supervised by a senior official of the City Crime Branch (CCB), sources said.
Jyothi Uday, a bank employee, was brutally attacked at an ATM near the BBMP office on November 19.
She is undergoing treatment at BGS Global Hospitals in the city.
