Christ MHSS Correspondent Honoured on Feast Day

On December 3 students of Christ Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Poonamallee, celebrated the feast of Rev Fr Johnson Xavier Panachickal, the Correspondent.

On December 3 students of Christ Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Poonamallee, celebrated the feast of Rev Fr Johnson Xavier Panachickal, the Correspondent. The celebration started with a prayer song followed by the festal wishing on stage.

The Principal and staff secretary honoured the correspondent with a shawl and a bouquet and recollected his services for the welfare of the students and society.

The staff, PTA members and students showed their love and affection with felicitations, dance performances and poetical words. Gifts were given from the Parents Teachers’ Association, students and teachers.

On the same day many Christ students participated in the AIDS awareness programme organised by the government of Tamil Nadu for educational institutions. Various competitions like English speech, drawing and essay writing were arranged at the school level and G Belshia Jebamalar of Class 11 won the second prize in the essay writing competition at the district level and received the cash award of `1,000 from Veera Ragava Rao, Collector of Thiruvallur district.
