Lions Club to Motivate Girl Examinees

For the first time, the Lions Club of Vellore (Region V and Zone XIV) is organising a ‘Reading Action Programme for Students’ on December 6 on the premises of E V R Government Girls Higher Secondary School here.

For the first time, the Lions Club of Vellore (Region V and Zone XIV) is organising a ‘Reading Action Programme for Students’ on December 6 on the premises of E V R Government Girls Higher Secondary School here.

According to M Ravikumar, president of the club, the programme is meant for girl students who will appear for the board examinations after Class 10 and Plus Two in 2014.

Arul Suresh, professor, Loyala College Chennai, will be the chief guest and will speak on how to prepare for the examination and how to manage time while writing. Girl students from government schools in and around Vellore will take part in the programme.

Later in the day Vinnai Thodivom, which is a motivational programme for all the school students, will be held on the same premises and that will be inaugurated by the Lion Sayar D Arvindkumar.

The chief guest for the occasion will be TV talk show host R Vijayan who will speak on ‘Excelling Through Education’.
