Bharathi Matriculation School, Rajajipuram, conducted their sports day on December 14.
P Chandra Sekar, deputy superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur, and Dr Charles John Bhaskar, scientist and managing director of Geo Marine Bio-technologies (P) Ltd, were the chief guests at the function.
Dr Bhaskar explained how sports is an integral part of education and advised the students to develop sportsmanship right from childhood and distributed prizes to the winners.
The correspondent, secretary, principal, teachers, members of the public, students and ex-students participated in the function.
Talent of the students were exhibited, making the programme a grand and successful one.
