A gang of six unidentified men waylaid a lorry, attacked the driver and cleaner and escaped in the lorry at Kannamangala Gate in Kadugodi on Saturday night. The  lorry had 440 cement bags in it.

The police said that around 10.30 pm, an Andhra Pradesh  lorry carrying cement bags was going towards Hosur to unload it. A gang of six standing next to a car waylaid the lorry. As the driver Trilok and cleaner Mohammed Rafi got down, they were assaulted by the gang with sharp weapons. Later, three of them got into the lorry and drove it away while the other three followed it in the car. A passerby who noticed the driver and cleaner lying on the road rushed them to a nearby hospital.
