The Departments of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health conducted a one-day seminar on new techniques for inspection and testing of industrial equipment.
M B Dyaberi, Secretary to Labour Department, Government of Karnataka, pressed that certificates be issued only after defects in equipment are rectified.
Department director B S Ramachandra advised delegates to use professional knowledge to conduct tests and ensure safety at the workplace.
Around 200 delegates from various industries took part in this seminar.
