Police arrest two, recover gold worth Rs 24 lakh

The Bangalore North police arrested three thieves and recovered 756 gm of gold ornaments worth `24 lakh from them.

The arrested have been identified as Jayaraj (25), Tulasi (35) and Jayalakshmi (32).

The Gangamma Gudi police arrested Jayraj who used to steal people’s bags near public places, hotels and bus stations.

Mahalakshmi Layout police arrested Tulasi and Jayalkshmi, who worked as domestic helps.

They looted houses when the owners were not in town. 

Both the accused had been previously arrested and were jailed.

But they again got back to stealing once they were released.

Two Killed in Road Accident Two people died in  separate accidents on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning respectively.

Mohammad Matin,21, died on Tuesday night around 11.30 pm after his bike hit a bus, which was parked near Jakkur Main Road.

The police said he died on spot.

The police registered a case against the driver and the owner of the bus.

In another incident, Narashimaiah, 50, died when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle.

 He was crossing the road near Veerasandra Signal at Electronic City.
