Seven people sustained injuries in a blast at an illegal LPG refilling unit in Mathikere area on Tuesday night.

The condition of two of the victims is said to be serious.

Police said that around 8.30 pm, two customers arrived at the illegal LPG refilling centre on 10th Cross, Mathikere, to get their gas lanterns refilled when the blast occurred.

Those injured in the blast included two children, the couple who were running the illegal unit, the two customers and another unidentified person.

Three of the injured were identified as Muniraju, Siddamma and Malasa. The other injured were yet to be identified.

The Yeshwantpur police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
