Another 49 Ayush seats for aspirants

The Ayush Department has approved five new Ayurvedic colleges and 49 seats have been added to the ongoing Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy (ISMH) and Veterinary seat allotment process.

According to a release from the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), eight seats in Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Science (Manipal), 10 in Sri Sri College of Ayurveda Science and Research (Bangalore), 12 in Sri S B Siddalingaswami Ayurveda Medical College (Mundargi), nine in Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine and Research (Bangalore) and 10 seats in Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya (Terdal) have been included.

This takes the Ayush seats tally to 739 for Ayurveda, 188 for Homeopathy, 73 in Unani and 67 in Naturopathy and Yoga. As of Saturday, 35,195 ISMH and veterinary candidates have entered 55,467 options. The updated seat matrix will be hosted on www.kea.kar.nic.in and the results announced on Monday after 8 pm.
