Ryan International School Holds Investiture Ceremony

CHENNAI: Ryan International School recently conducted its investiture ceremony on July 26 on the school premises. It was a glorious moment for the proud students elected as school parliament ministers.

The cabinet members marched smartly to the beat of the drum to welcome the guests of honour. The chief guests were Father Terry Stephen, Father Anil, Yashini (HRD-Samsung) and Paul (ex-army).

The ceremony commenced with the Lord’s Prayer, followed by a scripture reading and prayer chorus. The newly elected members were presented with badges and scarves.

The presidential oath was delivered by the headmistress to the newly elected school president, Joshua Christopher, followed by the other parliament members, all promising to take the school to newer heights. The newly elected cabinet ministers updated their knowledge during the interactive session with the guests. The queries from the students were thought-provoking. “Why are nuns not allowed to celebrate mass?” was one query. A brief synopsis of the life of former President Abdul Kalam was delivered to the students, to sustain the young minds and have a lasting effect.

The ceremony ended with a photo session and tree plantation.
