Man Killed in Road Mishap

BANGALORE: A 38-year-old, a realtor died in a road mishap after he rammed his bike into a cyclist on Suranjan Das road in Indiranagar on late Friday.

The deceased, Rajshekhar, was a resident of Kodihalli. The police said the incident occurred around 11.30 pm when Rajshekhar was returning home from KGF.

When he reached Geetanjali Layout, he was allegedly speeding. He tried to dodge a cyclist, coming in the opposite direction but hit the bicycle, fell on the road and sustained severe head injuries.

The cyclist sustained minor injuries. Rajshekar was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Man Held for Cheating Woman

Wilson Garden police on Thursday arrested a 32-year-old journalist for cheating a woman who works in a private company.

The accused is Praveen Saldana, a resident of Wilson Garden, who runs ‘Naveena Bengaluru’ a tabloid.

Police said Saldana, who was earlier residing at Ramamurthynagar, came in contact with the woman, who is separated from her husband.

He developed a physical relationship with her after promising that he would marry her. But later on, he moved to Wilson Garden without informing her.  The woman found him and filed a case of cheating against him.
